Meet the Founder
Kimberly Michele is a NY to NC transplant who moved at a young age to the small town of Asheboro where she had trouble finding her way to the "in" crowd, so she found herself in candle making by the time she was in high school.
While becoming locally known for her talents with making long-lasting, clean-burning candles, she attended Randolph Community College to obtain an Associates in the Arts degree transferring to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to major in Biochemistry.
Despite her passion to learn, she chose to put a pin in her studies at UNCG when she had her first born son in 2007. Growing Sincerely Candle Company while working in the service industry became her priorities which allowed her enough flexibility to be an active administrator of her homeschool from 2012 to present day.
Shortly after the birth of her second son in 2015, she was able to find a newly found drive to take the business to new heights in order to meet the demands of her growing family, the purchase of her first property, and the reviving of her collegiate studies.
Rather than returning right away to UNCG, Kimberly chose to study Aromatherapy at the American College of Healthcare Sciences in Portland, OR as a way to further develop her skills as a candlemaker and unlock new service offerings.
With plans to graduate as an Aromatherapist in January 2025 as well as begin to incorporate more volunteer work with the youth into her schedule, she aims to become a Beacon of light for other budding entrepreneurs. Feel free to follow more of her story on Instagram @kimberlycr8s
